MERODA Foundation Review: Is It Worth the Hype?

If you’ve been anywhere near beauty TikTok lately, you’ve probably seen the MERODA foundation everywhere. Naturally, I had to try it for myself, and as always this is a completely honest review. I bought this with my own money and this is not sponsored.

Let’s get into it.

First Impressions

Straight away, this feels like a very “clean girl” aesthetic product. It’s clearly designed to give that effortless, skin-like finish rather than a full glam base, which I personally love for everyday wear.

Packaging

The packaging is really lovely. It’s minimal, sleek, and feels quite luxe without being too much. It fits perfectly into a soft neutral, curated makeup setup, very on brand for that soft luxe aesthetic.

It’s lightweight but still feels good quality, not cheap or flimsy. The applicator also makes it easy to control how much product you use, which I always appreciate.

Price Point

It sits in that mid-range category. It’s not drugstore, but it’s not high-end luxury either.

You’re definitely paying for both the aesthetic and the formula. It feels more like a “treat” base product rather than something super basic.

I’d say it’s worth it if you love a natural, skin-focused foundation.

Formula and Application

This is where it really stands out.

It blends so nicely into the skin and feels very easy to work with. It almost melts in rather than sitting on top, which gives that “your skin but better” look.

It works well with both a brush and a sponge, and it doesn’t take much effort to get it looking good. Very quick and easy, which is ideal for everyday makeup.

Coverage

The coverage is buildable, which is a big plus.

It starts off quite light but you can layer it up without it feeling heavy. It’s perfect for soft glam or everyday looks.

If you like full coverage, this probably won’t be your favourite.

Finish

The finish is smooth, slightly glowy, and very skin-like.

It gives that polished look without looking like you’re wearing a lot of makeup, which is exactly what I want most days.

Scent

This is something I noticed straight away.

It does have quite a perfumy scent, but not in a bad way. It doesn’t smell artificial or overly processed, it’s more of a soft, cosmetic fragrance.

If you’re sensitive to fragrance you might want to keep that in mind, but personally I didn’t find it overpowering once applied.

The Downsides

On dry areas, this is where it can struggle slightly.

It can sit on the skin a bit and look a little cakey if your skin isn’t well prepped. So hydration is really important with this one.

If your skin is prepped properly, it looks much better, but it’s something to be aware of.

Who It’s Best For

You’ll love this if you like a natural, skin-like base, buildable coverage, and an easy everyday foundation.

It suits that soft glam, clean aesthetic perfectly.

If you have very dry skin or prefer a full coverage matte finish, this might not be the best fit for you.

Final Verdict

Overall, I really like this foundation.

It blends beautifully, looks very natural on the skin, and gives such a flattering everyday finish.

The only downside for me is how it sits on dry areas, but with the right prep it’s definitely manageable.

Would I repurchase? I think I would, especially for everyday wear.

If you’ve tried it, I’d love to know what you think.
